Mary, Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow?

It is finally June and hot! Yea!!! All of the rain in May and the warm weather has been great for my garden. A little over a month ago I made Brian dig up an area of grass and put in a raised garden. In the past years I have tried to do container vegetable gardens and haven't worked. So, this year we did it right and are having great success. I planed carrots, peas, beans, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, basil and thyme. All except the tomatoes are from seed. It is so fun to see the plants start from seemingly nothing. I love gardening! I also managed to once again save my roses from another harsh winter. My little bit of English heritage must help. Aren't they gorgeous?
